Hello, I am Aaron Gold

Welcome! I am a Product Analsyt and consultant at Deloitte Digital focusing on launching innovative products for millions of customers. My passion lies in solving the toughest challenges that clients are facing by uncovering the unmet needs of users and translating those needs into viable solutions. Currently, I currently lead a cross-functional team in the creation of a new digital experience for a major financial services company with 60 million monthly active users.

I graduated from Brandeis University with a double major in Business and Computer Science. Throughout college, I studied abroad in Shanghai, China at the Shanghai University of Economics and Finance, as well as lived in Tel Aviv, Israel for two months as a software engineer.

During college, I have developed two full-stack websites. The first, DeisToday.com, is an event aggregator for the Brandeis community. Students can login with their Brandeis SSO, RSVP to events, receive text and email message alerts (Twilio integration with an additional background worker), and subscribe to a personalized and encrypted calendar feed. Next, I developed a nano version of Twitter with a focus on scaleability. The site is built on Sinatra with Dgraph (a GraphQL database) and is separated into microservices with DB Sharding. It is deployed on AWS Fargate using Docker and is an autoscaling cluster. Redis and autoscaling workers, based on RabbitMQ, are used for updating user feeds (an extremely intensive process). Finally, with New Relic, our team is able to further track and modify our app to handle increasing loads of traffic. More information for both projects can be found under the resume tab!

When not working and learning, you can often find me outside. Most mornings, I start my day with Crossfit or running/biking. I love traveling and exploring new cultures as well as doing anything active. I enjoy meeting others and hearing from their experiences, so please reach out and lets grab coffee!
